Μια “τέκτονας μέλισσα” Megachile parietina χτίζει τη φωλιά της στο κάτω μέρος του τοίχου. Φτιάχνει πολύ σκληρές φωλιές λάσπης με σιελώδεις εκκρίσεις σε βραχώδεις περιοχές ή τοίχους. Ζει και σε λιβάδια και λόγω της μείωσης της καλλιέργειας οσπρίων, ο πληθυσμός του μειώνεται ανησυχητικά στην Ευρώπη.

A mason bee Megachile parietina builds its nest at the bottom of the wall. It builds very hard mud nests with salivary secretions in rocky areas or walls. It also lives in grasslands and due to the reduction in the cultivation of legumes, its population is decreasing alarmingly in Europe
